All are Welcome!

In all our worship we seek to be candid and hopeful about our flawed humanity, vigilant about the needs of the world and inquisitive about God. We treasure the Bible for its edgy humour and provocative conversation with God. Reading its remarkably diverse texts, we cannot help but pay attention to the matters of social and political concern today that it highlights. We also draw on music, both old and new, other literature, art and ideas in our search for holiness. One of the things we value most about church is that all generations gather together. We are restarting regular groups for children (pre-school to Year 6) soon and currently hold twice-monthly sessions for young people (Years 7-13).  At All Age Services we all stay together for varied acts of worship, reflection and inter-generational conversation.

The anchor for our worship at All Saints is Holy Communion. Since the earliest times, after prayer and reflection with the Bible, Christians have shared a symbolic meal of bread and wine, just as Jesus suggested, emphasising our fellowship with God and with each other. All are welcome to receive Communion. Some attend the service but prefer not to receive and we offer a prayer of blessing for them. You are invited draw as near as you wish and participate without obligation as you feel comfortable. (See An Introduction to Holy Communion for a fuller explanation)

Reading the Bible and praying for the needs of the world, morning and evening, are part of the discipline of the Anglican church. We pray for all we know who are unwell or in any kind of need. If you would like our confidential Prayer Circle to pray for anyone or anything in particular, please e-mail pastoral@allsaintschurchkh.org

Reflection and study are a key part of Christian life. Weekday opportunities for this are advertised in our magazine, website, and weekly newsletter, along with seasonal opportunities for reflection such as groups in Lent or discussions for people enquiring about the Christian faith.
